BPS renovates Leamington branch

BPS renovates Leamington branch

Building & Plumbing Supplies (BPS) has revamped its Leamington branch with the aim of giving it a contemporary feel.

The previous showroom area has been removed along with the dividing wall to provide double the space to allow the branch to showcase a wider range of products, including a kitchen showroom.

The aim of the renovation was to create a clean, well merchandised environment for its customers and incorporate a mix of displays. The new layout is said to have enabled the branch to organise products into categories, complete with product information, hoping to make it easier for customers to locate products.

It’s hoped that this, along with experienced staff, will help customers make informed choices as to which products they require and provide customers with a positive experience from start to finish.

There will also be a designated building area, where anything from screws & fixings to tools & equipment, will be housed. In addition to this, BPS will also offer a range of painting and decorating products to help with home improvements.

The Kudos Bathroom showroom has also been relocated to the extended area of the shop floor with the addition of kitchens to its product mix. This has been designed to provide an open and accessible environment, allowing the branch to showcase the latest designs from brands such as Villeroy & Boch, Omega & Sheraton.

The new shop and showroom was officially opened on the 23rd June 2018 by the Mayor of Leamington Spa, Heather Calver. To mark the occasion the branch held special offers for one day only and exclusive competitions which included a free makeover for a room and the chance to win £500 towards a kitchen or bathroom.

The addition of kitchens to the product mix is hoped to enable customers to renovate all areas of their home with BPS. The branch also has a working kitchen and invited Christine Wallace, from the Great British Bake Off, to attend the Build & Bake event, where she baked her famous Lemon Meringue Roulade. Christine also judged the BPS Bake Off with the firm favourite coming out as Coffee & Walnut cake.

Following on from the Build & Bake event there was a Trade Week with suppliers Villeroy & Boch, Matki Showering, Sheraton Kitchens, LPD Doors, Crown Paint, & OX, to name a few. This provided its customers with the opportunity to meet representatives from the brands.

The branch also held a week of special offers and competitions with the opportunity to win prizes which included Grohe Bluetooth Speaker and Dickies Boots.

John Dibble, Managing Director at BPS, said: “Our old shop & showroom had served us well for over 30 years, however many of our products were hidden in the warehouse never to be seen on the shop floor. The new layout draws inspiration from the open plan approach we have used at our other branches allowing us to showcase our product range in clear defined sections.

“The relocation of our Kudos Bathroom showroom has created a focal point and the addition of kitchens has expanded our product range further. I believe the newly renovated shop and showroom has created a fresh and modern environment, more fitting for a modern thinking builders merchant such as BPS.”
