Bradstone hosts annual conference and awards

Around 90 landscaping professionals from across the country were this month gathered at Wild Park Derbyshire, the paintball and quad bike trekking centre, to once again be treated to a packed day of thrilling leisure activities. The activities formed part of the Bradstone national conference for its Assured network of installers.

The event is hosted by Bradstone each January to bring all its Assured members together to liaise with each other, to learn about the new 2017 portfolio of garden and driveway products, and to get face-to-face contact with the wider Bradstone team.

Following refreshments on arrival, the group spent an adrenaline-filled morning and afternoon crawling through undergrowth and ambushing their fellow landscapers with activities including paintballing, quad biking and archery.

Members received full briefings on the latest Bradstone products, as well as the Assured Rewards App which launched in November, enabling installers to accumulate points with each purchase and then redeem them against a wide range of Makita tools. A team from Makita was also present on the day, offering workshops on Health & Safety and its latest products.

Following the conference, members transferred to the Roundhouse in Derby for an awards dinner and evening of revelry. The annual Bradstone Assured Awards, now in its fourth year, acknowledge some of the best the garden landscaping industry has to offer in design expertise and customer service.

Toby Stuart-Jervis, Commercial Director, commented: “We are very proud of the Bradstone Assured network of approved installers as it has grown to become a community of like-minded professionals that can truly support each other. It heartened us this year to see the members conversing to share advice and insights – all whilst attacking each other on the paintball circuit!

“It’s beneficial for all of us to share examples of the very best practice displayed in recent projects. That’s why we continue to host our annual conference and awards; we recognise the value that members can take away from networking during the day, and the importance of recognising and celebrating the very best landscaping projects at the awards dinner. We also enjoy the eager anticipation in the room when we’re about the reveal who will be crowned Installer of the Year for 2017!”
