Flexseal launches e-learning module

Flexseal has launched a new short training course to help branch staff gain confidence in selling coupling and saddle products.

The training course has been created by leading coupling and saddle supplier Flexseal in partnership with e-learning specialists Cortexa. The course is titled ‘Pipe Connections and Repair’ and is available now via many merchants’ online academies, including the Builders’ Merchants Federation (BMF) academy. Other merchants should contact Flexseal directly to discuss access to the course.

“Our aim is to support the staff at our merchant customers to have more knowledge and confidence when discussing drainage connection and repair,” commented Lee Pashley, Flexseal’s Managing Director. “We have always offered training to branches via our on-the-road team, but now, using web technology, we can make this training available to more customers and it can be completed at any time to suit the trainee.”

The course was developed following feedback from merchant staff to the company, who rated their own knowledge of Flexseal products as low. “We conducted some customer surveys with branch staff as part of our commitment to delivering the best service possible to merchants in the civils and drainage market,” Lee explained. “This training course is a way of meeting one of the needs we identified during that process.”

The easy to use module takes around 20 minutes to complete and covers the basics in civils & drainage pipe connections and repair, the standards within the industry, best practice applications and features & benefits of Flexseal products, as well as helpful product installation videos.

“Our external team will continue to offer training, but, with the basics covered in this course, we expect that they will increasingly deliver more in-depth practical training or specific courses on our more unique products,” continued Lee.
