Hydro International training module goes live

Hydro International is supporting the launch of its Hydro-Brake Flow Control Series with the launch of its first training module in the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) Cortexa training campus.

The Hydro-Brake Flow Control Series is a versatile toolbox of precision-engineered devices for surface water, watercourse, foul and combined sewer network control.  The new module to train merchants’ sales teams on benefits of the Hydro-Brake Optimum vortex flow control is now live.

The new e-learning course outlines the distinct features of the Hydro-Brake Optimum and how it can be customised to provide protection from upstream and downstream flooding as part of a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS).

The new course is timed to coincide with the launch of the Hydro-Brake Flow Control Series, which unites each flow control product with the reputation for quality and repeatable, high performance embodied in the Hydro-Brake brand name. Completing the course will entitle participants to be awarded CPD points.

Comprising Hydro-Brake Flood, Hydro-Brake Optimum, Hydro-Brake Agile and Hydro-Brake Orifice, the comapnys states that Hydro-Brake Flow Control Series provides sustainable, performance-optimised water attenuation and control, whatever the project.

Hydro-Brake Optimum is Hydro International’s flagship passive flow control device, independently accredited by both the BBA and WRc, and is claimed to be the only vortex flow control for which the head and discharge relationship can be custom engineered for each design, saving space and costs.

Andy Kane, Operations Manager – Europe Stormwater for Hydro International’s European Stormwater division, said: “The name Hydro-Brake has always been synonymous with rigorous research and continuous product development.  The Hydro-Brake Flow Control Series now offers precision flow control performance for every site and budget.

“The Hydro-Brake Optimum is the only flow control that can be precision-engineered to meet specific flow, head and storage requirements. So, it’s important that merchants are able to advise their customers to avoid the pitfalls of switching specification to an inferior product. Choosing a Hydro-Brake flow control means your customers can be sure of a device that is optimised to deliver buildable, predictable and maintainable projects. At the same time, you can be assured to achieve optimum margin and value from the sale.”
