James Burrell has announced plans to expand its reach within the Yorkshire region, with the investment in a new £2million branch, set to open in Rotherham early next year.
The site will be the tenth for the family-owned company, expected to open in spring 2019, and will also lead to the creation of around a dozen new jobs in the local area.
The 4,452m2 site will provide services to a diverse range of clients, including large developers and owner-managed businesses, across Rotherham, Sheffield and Doncaster. The announcement is said to follow a wave of investment by the company in 2018, with £250k pumped into its existing Ossett branch to provide a dedicated Trade counter and office space. The company has also upgraded its site in Blyth, as well as opening a brand-new branch in Morpeth.

The Rotherham-based branch will boast a 264m2 office and trade counter area, displays, a warehouse and onsite vehicles. As with existing branches at Ossett and York, it will offer a full range of civils, drainage, timber, roofing, insulation and heavyside building materials.
