H+H
Housing development
H+H Celcon Foundation Blocks are being used by Jones Homes, a local housebuilder in the North West, in a luxurious new development of 82 predominately 4-6 bedroom detached homes in Wilmslow, south of Manchester. High Strength Foundation Blocks were used in 3.6N strength for two storey homes and 7.2N strength for three storey homes. The blocks were said to be of particular benefit at ‘Bollin Park’ as Jones Homes designs each of its homes with a 150mm cavity, which requires a “durable foundation block that is up to the job”. Additional benefits of using the BBA-certified blocks include improved thermal performance which exceeds current UK Building Regulations, superior resistance to sulfate attack and protection from fire and frost.

EcoProtec
Cement, Grout & Salt Residue Remover
Designed to ensure the removal of white blooms and chalky residues, EcoProtec Cement, Grout & Salt Residue Remover is an alternative to conventional acid-based treatments and, when used as instructed, is suitable for use on all types of tiles — from porcelain to glazed ceramics — and all natural stone surfaces (except for those with a polished finish). A diluted application is said to remove mild mineral residue within 30 minutes, whilst a stronger application and agitation gives “instant results”. After treatment, users just extract deposits with a sponge and rinse the surface with clean water. As well as removing cement and grout, the product also disperses rising salt residues caused by efflorescence — common on exterior surfaces such as bricks and patio pavers — and spot fixing.
