An Insight into Roman

Roman has released its new company video, which offers a tour around Roman’s facilities in Newton Aycliffe.

Founded in 1985, Roman has been designing and manufacturing showering solutions for over 35 years and is the UK’s largest shower manufacturer, with its headquarters located in County Durham which comprises three factories for Shower Enclosures, Solid Surface Moulding and Solid Surface Fabrication on a 400,000 sq. ft site.

Roman’s key products include Shower Enclosures; Bath Screens; Wetroom Panels; Walk-in Enclosures; Anti-Slip Solid Surface Shower Trays; and solid surface fabrication including basins, vanity units and bathroom structures. Roman’s diverse and versatile collection of products encompasses something for every style and shape bathroom – no matter what the budget; allowing you to build a bathroom concept that fulfils your personal requirements and end vision.

The designer and manufacturer carries out three main tests to ensure all products conform to the CE Marking BS EN14428 Standard and operates a strict environmental policy and is constantly working with suppliers to maximise the use of recycled materials. All aluminium and packaging is manufactured using 100% recycled material. The principles of the circular economy are embedded in all the design and purchasing policies.

All products are coated with Roman Ultra Care which makes the product easy to clean and offers long-term optical clarity – essential for frameless products. A Shower Enclosure is essentially the only product that moves in the bathroom once installed, so it is always urged that extra care is taken to understand the added value in the quality of the mechanisms, the finishes and of course the Truelife Lifetime Guarantee.

David Osborne, Managing Director of Roman, commented: “In light of the vastly reduced travel in the UK currently, it is a great time to be launching our latest video and virtual tour. Nothing can replace the value of a real factory tour to understand our design and manufacturing capabilities, but the video certainly helps to communicate the scale and key processes very well.”
