Benchmark Building Supplies to offer ‘drive through’ service

A new builders’ merchant is to open in Bredbury, with a drive through service for customers available as part of its range of offerings at the branch.

Benchmark Building Supplies will open the Bredbury branch on Monday 24 August, with a new ‘drive through’ set-up which will allow customers to drive their vehicles directly through the warehouse to load up materials.

The drive through service is part of a 35,000 square foot site and shop space layout that will enable the branch to stock a hugely expanded range of products all available under one roof.

A one-way system has also been implemented and the layout of the yard is designed to be as efficient as possible to ensure customers are not away from their sites longer than they need to be.

The new expanded product range will include an indoor stored timber range and a new landscaping display to showcase block paving, Indian Stone and Porcelain as well as composite decking, artificial grass and more.

A new kitchen display area has also been installed and a kitchen specialist has joined the team to help promote and provide advice on the branch’s fantastic range of high-quality kitchens.

Tom Arrundale, General Manager at the Bredbury, near Stockport, branch, said: “We are really excited about opening the Bredbury branch.

“Our customers are at the heart of what we do, and we have planned the branch with both the trade and retail in mind – enhancing the service and experience we have to offer based on the direct feedback we have received.

“From the increased product range to the internal kitchen and landscape displays, Benchmark Bredbury really is something special.”

The latest Bredbury branch adds to the current Ashton Under Lyne, Bolton, Marple, Mossley, Irlam and Romiley branches within the Benchmark Building Supplies North West regional network.

The opening of the new Bredbury branch will provide a timely boost to local businesses that may have been affected by the closure of other merchants and supply issues such as the availability of key items.
