Wrekin Products has added a Fabricated Steel Unit. It will deliver bespoke steelwork systems to customers and support merchant customers in this sector.
The Fabricated Steel Unit has a focused team for civils steelwork. Paul Shaw heads up the unit with Brian Mills adding technical expertise and John Graham sales support.
“We’re here to help customers by giving them a high level of engineering expertise to solve complex access issues that require bespoke steel applications,” says Paul.
“It’s not easy to specify the right steelwork as there’s no agreed standard. Without regulation, companies in sectors like water, power, rail and defence rely on specialist experience to achieve product designs that are simple, cost-effective and long-lasting.
“Everything we’re doing is designed to make life easier for our customers. It might be that a steel cover needs to fit better with the equipment underneath. Or there may be a need for assisted lifting so that one operative can handle covers safely. Whatever the issue, we will work with consultants and contractors to find practical solutions.
“We’ll also be expanding Wrekin’s range of standard steel access covers, to give customers greater flexibility and availability of products.”
The Fabricated Steel Unit sits alongside Wrekin’s existing ironwork and geosynthetics offers to give customers an extensive choice of intelligent civil engineering products.
