Bryan Clover takes on the #84in48 challenge

Bryan Clover, CEO of industry charity the Rainy Day Trust, is looking for industry support and sponsorship for his latest fundraising endeavour.

On 17 and 18 September will be taking on the challenge to hike from Bristol to London non-stop in 48 hours.  With no sleep and on his own, he will travel 84 miles carrying a massive amount of water and necessities need along the way. The pack will weigh in excess of 40lbs.

In undergoing this huge challenge, Bryan and the Rainy Day Trust are hoping to raise money and awareness for the charity, with photo stops along the way to keep sponsors and colleagues up to date with his progress.

With Dulux already on board as a sponsor, the charity is hoping to receive sponsors from all four of its main sectors – builders’ merchants and suppliers, DIY, housewares and garden centres.

“This is the single biggest challenge that I have ever undertaken and will test me to my core.  If you want to be part of it, even if only to watch me fall in the canal, drop me an e-mail,” said Bryan.

“My hope is that this will be the biggest fundraising event of 2021 for us and will help us to meet the ever-growing pressure for our help.”
