Fibo panels support growth of Smith & Frater

Scottish based kitchen and bathroom merchant Smith & Frater is experiencing strong growth with Fibo’s precision engineered wall panels. The Fibo range now makes up 85% of total sales at its Grangemouth branch.

Smith & Frater has been selling Fibo’s entire range for over 15 years and sales have grown strongly over this period across its target markets of trade, local authorities, housing associations, contractors and the general public.

Smith & Frater’s experience is that customers are no longer replacing tiles with tiles; they’re installing wall panels instead. The key benefit of bathroom wall panels over traditional tiles is ease of installation. They are also hygienic, easy to clean, mould-free and Fibo offers a 15-year guarantee which it believes is a key selling point. Fibo’s seven-layer premium plywood panel ensures a long-lasting waterproofing solution for bathrooms and wet rooms, according to the manufacturer.

Fibo’s Managing Director Scott Beattie, says: “It’s great that Fibo wall panels are selling so well through Smith & Frater. The staff are enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about our range. They benefit from a high level of support from our team including stands, counters, displays and brochures, as well as regular training and visits.”
