The JCW Acoustic Supplies Roadshow will be touring the UK in May, June and July, giving local trades a chance to access expert advice.
The Roadshow will be covering 40 locations, from Newcastle to Newquay and there will be free acoustic product advice available at local builders’ merchants. These will include independents plus selected branches of Travis Perkins, Bradfords, Jewsons and MKM.
The aim is to help local tradespeople build knowledge of when, where and how to use acoustic products. JCW states that they regularly receive questions from tradespeople asking:
- What’s the best way of controlling noise in a workspace?
- What’s the best soundproofing system for a project?
- What about Part E Building Regs?
These types of question will be exactly what JCW will be aiming to address at the Roadshow and will be on hand to supply all the knowledge tradespeople need regarding acoustic products.
Laura Keegan, Commercial Director of JCW Acoustic Supplies, explained: “Throughout the roadshow, we’ll be working to show how easy it is to find the specialist acoustic products our customers need. We’ll be helping our builders’ merchants identify the right questions to help their customers find the right product.
“And, we’ll be answering any questions from local trades – on anything from materials to Building Regs – and giving them free advice to create better acoustic performance. You don’t need to be able to specify the materials; we’ll do that for you on the day.”
This sort of advice is usually available at trade exhibitions, but Laura stated she wanted an easier way for trades to find the answers they need: “An exhibition may be easier for us, but that’s not where our customers are. They are on site or at the builders’ merchants – so we decided to make life easier for our trades and place ourselves at builders’ merchants too. And we’ll make sure there’s a brew, biscuit or similar waiting for our visitors” she said.
