JT Dove launches website with eCommonSense

JT Dove has launched its new website which has been provided by the eCommonSense team.

The coronavirus pandemic has seen online sales dramatically increase so having an optimized website has become increasingly important for merchants as many choose to bring forward their launches.

Steve Robinson, JT Dove Managing Director, said: “We chose eCommonSense as our digital partner because we wanted someone who knew digital and knew the builders’ merchant sector. They ticked all the boxes in this respect which meant that we have a solution that is designed specifically for merchants.

“This provides lots of benefits such as a deep integration into our trading system, Kerridge, in addition to the product information management feature, which provides a solution to our data challenges.

“The website will allow us to truly compete with some of the nationals and disruptive retailers that are eyeing up our market. If we want to retain and grow our business, we need a world-class online solution – with eCommonSense, we believe that is what we have.”

According to the company, the number of builders’ merchants that are choosing the eCommonSense solution has grown significantly since the prestigious BMA award. Colchester’s Collier & Catchpole went live recently, along with Leamington-based Building and Plumbing Supplies and London civil’s merchant, George Lines, who join its sister company Lords in using the same website solution.

Later this month, the Republic of Ireland’s merchant TJ O’Mahoney is going live. It will be shortly followed by Northern Ireland’s Haldane Fisher who will also utilise the integration into the Kerridge ERP system.

eCommonSense Managing Director Andy Scothern said that he was delighted at the number of merchants going live with plenty more lining up through the year.

He continued: “Since the best website of the year award went to Inter-Line for our eCommonSense solution, we’ve seen a significant increase in enquiries from other merchants who also want their online operation to be best in class,”
