National P&D Show ‘back with a bang’

After a difficult two years for the industry, the National Painting and Decorating Show will be back in Coventry later this month after a pandemic-enforced absence in 2020.

It may have been a rollercoaster ride with contracts postponed, then the pent-up demand released once the lockdown was lifted and now ongoing issues with supplies and delivery, but the UK painting and decorating industry’s biggest and only national event is now back to welcome thousands of visitors to view the latest products from nearly 100 exhibitors.

With its mix of face-to-face contact, lively and informative demonstrations, the presence of go-to experts, finding new products and the chance to snap up show-only deals, end-users and merchants will be among the 3,000-plus attendees expected to throng the Coventry Building Society Arena (the new name for the Ricoh Arena…) on November 23 and 24.

The show is now in its 26th year, the past 17 of which have been at the Coventry venue where it ranks as one of the arena’s flagship trade events. This underlines its track record as the place to be for those who use, sell, stock or specify P&D products.

P&D Show organiser Terry Dullaway said: “Our show is an innovations event and centres on demonstrations and masterclass areas to see the latest technology in painting and decorating.”

Among those firms planning to launch new products at this year’s event are Timbabuild, Axus Décor, Terraco, Bedec, Rustins, and Ciret. The first 1,000 visitors through the door each day will be handed a goody bag packed with exhibitors’ samples and every attendee will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a QTech Trade Decorators Pack worth over £1,200.

The National Painting and Decorating Show is open from 9:30 to 16:00 on November 23 and 24. For more details and ticket information, visit www.paintshow.co.uk
