New showroom, Business Hub & rental packages launched by Jungheinrich

‘Forkcourt’ showroom and Business Hub
Jungheinrich UK has announced the launch of its new flagship ‘Forkcourt’ showroom and Business Hub concept to support local logistics-intensive businesses.

The new ‘Forkcourt’ line of showrooms represents an entirely new way of showcasing Jungheinrich products and services, and will provide a drop-in point for local customers to view the Jungheinrich range of remanufactured forklift trucks. Experts will also be on hand to assist with enquiries into materials handling equipment and to advise on ‘one stop shop’ intralogistics solutions.

The opening in Milton Keynes follows the success of the Dartford showroom launch in April 2016, which marked the first additional UK showroom in almost 20 years. The introduction of the Business Hub concept will enable the company to use the facilities to also help promote industry growth and collaboration in the local area.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a meeting room, the ‘Forkcourt’ will be accessible to local businesses to use as an extension of their own work space, free of charge — whether for training purposes, conference space, or consultation with Jungheinrich specialists.

Neil Warren, Used Equipment, Rental and Workshop Director, Jungheinrich UK, explains: “Jungheinrich has the only refurbishing production line in the world dedicated to remanufacturing forklift trucks to a standard that’s as good as new. Every truck that leaves our Dresden plant is of the highest possible quality and has the warranty to prove it, which matches those of our new products.

“The Milton Keynes ‘Forkcourt’ is an opportunity to showcase the quality of these five-star refurbishments and their economic, technical and ecological benefits to our customers in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. Combined with our new Business Hub concept, we look forward to working more collaboratively to support local industry and the materials handling and intralogistics requirements of the companies comprising it.”

‘Power Buy the Hour’ rental packages
Not just settling for the new ‘Forkcourt’ and Business Hub, Jungheinrich has also announced the launch of its ‘Power Buy the Hour’ range of rental packages, a highly flexible and completely new approach to IC forklift truck rental in the UK.

Supported by greater availability and shorter delivery times, Jungheinrich Power Buy the Hour rental packages provide customers requiring contracts of 12 months or more with the scope to easily move up and down price bands. In accordance with a business’ ever-changing long-term site requirements, telematics data will be monitored to ensure customers only pay for the hours a truck is in use as opposed to the hours it is on site, which will be made visible through the new Power Buy the Hour mobile app.

Neil again explains: “The new Jungheinrich Power Buy the Hour rental packages represent a completely new model for hiring fork lift trucks in the UK, and provide our customers with even more control and visibility in line with their individual requirements.

“As demand for a 24/7 service mounts for businesses across all industries, the accompanying Power Buy the Hour app will provide forklift truck operators with vehicle information around the clock. Data on vehicle usage will be available at their fingertips, along with information such as overspend, vehicle status and warning alerts.”

The new Power Buy the Hour rental contracts for IC trucks are available on all models from 1.6 to 3.0 tonne capacity.
