NMBS announces virtual Exhibition

NMBS is to host its first ever virtual Exhibition for the power tools, tools, fixings and workwear sector.

The event will take place on 3 November, 2020, giving its independent merchant members the chance to interact with suppliers, purchase stock, and find out about the very latest products.

The decision to host NMBS’ first virtual Exhibition comes after the annual NMBS Exhibition in Coventry was put on hold due to Coronavirus restrictions. With the number of people who can gather in one place likely to remain limited for some time, NMBS was keen to find new ways to bring its Suppliers and Members together.

Andy Hextall, NMBS Commercial Director, said: “We know that a virtual exhibition cannot totally replace the live experience of an exhibition hall, but we wanted to ensure our members can still take advantage of the benefits and special offers that our annual Exhibition usually brings.”

Members who attend the exhibition will be able to access the same Rebate offers, discounts and on-the-day promotional prices that they enjoy at the annual Exhibition, with orders they place during the entire month of November also eligible for exclusive discounts if they attend the event and schedule a virtual appointment with a manufacturer.

During the day Suppliers will have the option to run live product demos, and provide customers with the ability to download brochures and product details of their new ranges. Members will be able to browse virtual stands from a range of power tool and workwear manufacturers, view products, and ask questions via a dedicated chat function. There will also be the option to schedule one-to-one meetings with suppliers.

To attend the Exhibition, merchants will simply need access to the internet, with no need to download any particular software. NMBS Members will receive their personal invitation to the virtual Exhibition, or they can contact Sam Hunt on sam.hunt@nmbs.co.uk for more information.
