NMBS adds to Professional Points scheme

A new range of Apple products including the popular iPad Pro and MacBook Air are now available to merchants through the National Merchant Buying Society’s (NMBS) Professional Points scheme.

Professional Points is NMBS’ loyalty scheme, where merchant members receive a point for every £10 spent with participating suppliers. These points quickly add up, and can be redeemed online at www.professionalpoints.co.uk for more than 400 products, from electrical and computing items to power tool accessories, perfume, sporting equipment or hardware products.

Merchants who would prefer to enjoy an experience, rather than a gift, can redeem their points for a range of vouchers, including a two-night hotel stay, luxury afternoon tea, or even a bungee jump or driving experience.

Once the points have been redeemed, the products or vouchers will be delivered directly to the merchant within five days (subject to stock availability).

NMBS Suppliers who are participating in the scheme include Makita, Redring, Midland Lead, Spear & Jackson, and Reisser, with more companies said to be joining all the time.

The new Professional Points website was originally launched in January 2020, and more than 200 orders have already been placed since the launch, despite the disruption caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Any NMBS Merchant Member who has not yet signed up to the scheme or needs their login details can contact Marketing Communications Manager Nicola Harley on Nicola.Harley@nmbs.co.uk. Once they have logged in, they will be able to access the site and manage their account from any internet-connected device.

Nicola said: “The new Professional Points site has been a huge success since it launched in January. Members have told us the new site enables them to manage their account and easily place their orders. We are thrilled to be developing the site further and to be adding even more products to the scheme every month.”
