RGB launches 2017 Christmas Present Appeal

Following the success of RGB Building Supplies’ Christmas Present Appeal last year, the builders’ merchant is delighted to bring it back and is once again inviting the local community to donate gifts that will be given to families being supported by Children’s Hospice South West over the festive period.

Until Friday 1st December, RGB’s branches will be displaying Christmas Trees and inviting people to place a gift suitable for a child of any age, or their parents, underneath them. The hospice will then distribute the presents to families in time for Christmas Day.

Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, commented: “We received the most incredible number of gifts for our children and families following RGB’s Christmas appeal last year, and can’t thank the community enough for its generosity. Christmas is such an important and poignant time for our families and this appeal is a great way to support our work and help us to continue to raise a smile. Thank you for your wonderful support!”

Paul West, Branch Manager at RGB Exeter, added: “We were overwhelmed by the number of gifts donated to our 2016 appeal, so we’re delighted to bring it back this year; it’s clear that Children’s Hospice South West is a much-loved charity which the local community is keen to support. Presents suitable for a young child or teenager, or something small for parents can be donated, so that no member of a family is missed. In advance, we would like to thank everyone who donates a gift.”

All presents, no matter the size or value, will be gratefully received. RGB would like to ask that gifts are left unwrapped to ensure they are age appropriate for the recipient.

Children’s Hospice South West is RGB Building Supplies’ chosen charity. It provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. The care offered ranges from respite and short breaks, to emergency and end of life care.
