Sturminster Newton Building Supplies joins IBC

Sturminster Newton Building Supplies has become the latest independent merchant to join the IBC Buying Group.

The Dorset-based builders’ merchant joined IBC in August 2019 to take advantage of the terms and other key benefits available to the group’s members.

The family-run merchant, owned by Kevin and Marina Snook, moved into their modern, purpose-built premises in Sturminster Newton four years ago.

As well as mixed building supplies, it offers a wide range of timber, carpentry, landscaping, and painting and decorating products.

Sturminster Newton Building Supplies has also expanded its offering beyond traditional builders’ merchants, with services including small plant hire, rubble collection, crusher hire, and an on-site screed laying service, supplied from its own volumetrics.

Paul Read, Commercial Director of IBC said: “We are delighted that Sturminster Newton Building Supplies has become the latest independent merchant to see the benefits of joining IBC. Independent merchants can save thousands of pounds per year by taking advantage of the highly competitive terms available from our supplier partners.”

As the latest merchant to become a member of the buying group, Sturminster Newton Building Supplies has said it will have access to strong pricing deals from more than 100 supplier partners, as well as a wide range of powerful marketing and business tools for independent merchants.

The newly launched IBC Members Portal, for example, gives members online access to their account details at any time, as well as instant access to the very latest supplier deals, products, rebate information and performance figures.
