Symphony congratulates course graduates

Symphony Group has recently seen the first graduates of its new Principles of Kitchen Design course, which covers everything from basic planning principles and product knowledge, to materials, trends and styles.

The course is designed for those working in retail showrooms and merchants, and although aimed at beginners to kitchen design, it also suits those that are brand new to the industry.

Emma Banks, Training Manager, said: “I’m very proud that we’re able to offer bespoke training courses for our customers and the hard work and effort that the first round of candidates have put in has been phenomenal. We’ve invested in our training facilities over the last 12 months, with lots of exciting new developments coming up.

“This course is completed over a period of three months and covers a lot of ground in the three days that we spend in our Symphony Training and Design Centre at the Symphony head office. We understand that we must balance the subject with the reality as we know our customers can’t be away from the showroom or office for long periods of time, which is why the course incorporates lots of hands-on training with the products as well as online learning modules.”

Recent graduate, Kirstie Hadcroft from Howarth Timber, commented: “I’ve found all stages of this course really valuable while I’ve been progressing in what is a new industry for me. Courses are kept relaxed and casual but delivered professionally and with a view to providing up-to-date and concise knowledge at each level. You’ll be able to request training in specific areas if requested in advance, and there’s the added bonus of having a fabulous showroom to get hands-on experience…..you’ll also receive a great lunch!”

The Symphony Training and Design Centre offers bespoke courses that cover topics such as kitchen design and planning, product knowledge and marketing. Whilst most courses are held at the Training and Design Centre in South Yorkshire, Symphony also offers free online training and, for larger groups, will also arrange bespoke training for customers at their premises.

The Training and Design Centre is located within Symphony’s Marketing Suite, and with six fully equipped meeting rooms, can also offer facilities for its customers to host their own regional and national meetings with access to view Symphony’s full product range.
