Tile Giant sets up help scheme for tilers

In a bid to get the industry back on its feet, Tile Giant has set up a new and improved help scheme for tilers, offering a range of benefits including a Checkatrade membership package.

The new scheme is in addition to the already existing Trade Reward benefits by Tile Giant, where tilers earn vouchers for every pound they spend directly with the merchant.

As part of the new scheme, tilers can take advantage of a £150 trade rewards voucher and three months of free membership if they join Checkatrade. Checkatrade is UK’s number one website for finding tradespeople, and links consumers to recommended and vetted trades. The platform increases business visibility and provides a mark of quality that customers find reassuring.

Other benefits include free delivery of Tile Giant product for items over £200 and support in setting up a credit account with Travis Perkins. Traders who take part in the new scheme will also get access to a guide on industry best practice to tiling a customer’s home, as well as a guide on how to set up a website, Instagram and Facebook accounts for their business.

In a bid to give back to traders, Tile Giant has increased the already existing referral bonus, meaning registered tilers will receive a trade reward voucher worth 10% of the value of the order placed by their customer. In addition to that, a new price match guarantee has been introduced for written quotes less than a month old.

James Heese, Managing Director said: “We recognise that the last few months have been an incredibly challenging time for our tradespeople, many of whom have suffered financially.

“Our relationship with tilers is our top priority, and we would like to do all we can to support them get their business back up and running again over the next few weeks and months.”

Alex Cubitt, Chief Growth Officer at Checkatrade, said: “Helping tradespeople grow their business is our core mission, which has taken on a new importance in these recent uncertain times. We believe this partnership will help us to connect more consumers with recommended and vetted tradespeople.”
