Turnbull adopts KBBConnect for showrooms

Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire based Turnbull builders’ merchant is using the KBBConnect software from Smart Systems to produce quotations for all the company’s kitchen and bathroom designs, across the company’s six showrooms.

Olivia Hopkins, Turnbull’s Showroom Manager said: “Originally we used another quotation system, but this had become increasingly old-fashioned and slow for our business.  We are a member of the Fortis Merchant Network and their preferred solution was KBBConnect.  We tested this out, and found that it really met our needs.  It was then rolled out to all our branches.  In particular, we found the software easy to use and the ongoing support from Smart Systems has been very good.”

Designs – for both the trade and consumers – are produced using 2020 Fusion CAD software.  Data from this system is then transferred to KBBConnect to produce the quotation, and once approved, the order.  This in turn is then transferred to Turnbull’s Kerridge ERM system for invoicing, management reports and so on.  Some thirty quotations are produced each week.  “It takes about half an hour to produce a quote, whereas with the previous system, we had ‘to wait for it to happen’.  All the catalogues and prices are in KBBConnect, so that everything is ready to go as soon as we need it.

“Importantly, the new software ensures that we have absolute consistency of quotation pricing and production across all six branches.”
