Vogue (UK) begins ‘masterplan’ following lockdown changes

Vogue (UK) is ramping up its plans to support customers and protect its staff during the Covid-19 outbreak with a comprehensive strategy for managing supply as the UK government looks to ease lockdown.

Sales Director, Steve Birch, said: “As a market leader, naturally we have contingency plans for all sorts of events, and we have continued our operations during lockdown with limited staff, whilst ensuring we can service our customers with increased stock levels. This week we are pleased to announce that we have resumed our manufacturing operations along with polishing and plating capabilities for our customers. Lead times may be a little longer than we would usually anticipate but we are fully committed to meeting market demands and play our part in supporting retail, construction and home renovation projects nationwide. Our location in the heart of England ensures that we can get our British handcrafted products to our customers quickly as we are close to so many world-class transport hubs.

“First and foremost we are protecting our employees, our customers and communities by establishing a remote sales team and supporting our key logistics staff to ensure we can meet demands for contracts and answer any technical and installation queries. We are ensuring that all Government guidelines are being followed to the letter with super-stringent hygiene, social distancing and appropriate protective equipment for our in-house team.

“Going forwards, we have prepared for a number of scenarios depending on how the lockdown is eased to ensure that our supply chain continues to run smoothly and efficiently. Our senior management team is constantly attuned to our team’s health and wellbeing including regular check-ins with warehouse staff and those working from home as we monitor the latest advice from the government and the CBI’s dedicated Coronavirus hub so that we are alert to any changes and can take the appropriate actions swiftly.”

Steve added: “We are very pleased that we have invested in our online presence in our 30th year in business and our dedicated social media channels. I am delighted that the company can move with the times whilst retaining its unique DNA – providing excellent customer service and pioneering the best designs in the industry.”

Vogue (UK) is continuing the roll-out of its new designs and corporate branding this year and its design team are already working on collections for 2021 and 2022. Taking inspiration from industrial design, classic British interiors, Scandinavian style and contemporary trends, the company has set the standard for the rest of the industry with designs which consistently sweep the board at industry awards.

“The heating industry is becoming increasingly sophisticated and design-led in the 2020s,” said Steve. “We feel very lucky to be able to work with architects, interior designers and retailers of the highest calibre to ensure that properties around the world are heated to the optimum in a beautiful, practical and stylish way.”

At a time when the KBB industry is navigating uncharted territory, Steve is upbeat about the future. “Our agile business model ensures that we are constantly investing in our company and that we can quickly adjust to change. We would like to urge our friends and colleagues in the KBB sector to stay positive and encourage them to use all the resources available to them to ensure that they can come out of lockdown in the strongest possible position, ready to do more business and meet their 2020 goals,” Steve concludes.
