W.Howard updates its core product range

W.Howard is investing in its core product range, introducing new products and range updates in a bid to make it easier for merchants to choose the stock they want and receive orders more quickly.

The company manufactures hundreds of MDF profiles, as skirtings, architraves, window boards, and door linings, as well as a wide range of bespoke products.

From 4 March, W.Howard’s core products will be classified into three main ranges, to make it easier for merchants to choose the right designs to keep up with current trends and fulfil their customers’ demands.

The ‘Contemporary’ range comprises square and grooved profiles, all designed to bring a modern aesthetic to the home and are suitable for both the newbuild and RMI markets.

For renovations and older-style homes, the ‘Period’ is designed for tradespeople looking to bring period-style to a home renovation or extension.

Lastly, the ‘Classic’ range includes many of W.Howard Group’s most popular and fast-moving lines, gathered together to make them easier for merchants to identify.

The full range will be clearly displayed in W.Howard Group’s new product catalogue, where merchants can see the full list of products in the core range, as well as details of W.Howard’s bespoke, made-to-order products.

As well as grouping its products into three distinct ranges, W.Howard will also be streamlining its core range, to enable it to better service the merchant market.

There are currently 146 lines in W.Howard’s core range; from 4 March these will be streamlined into 72 products, all of which will be available from stock. These 72 products are W.Howard’s most popular lines, all of which will be available to order on a five-day lead time. The remaining W. Howard products will all still be available to all customers as made-to-order products.

These changes to the core range, along with W.Howard’s recent investment in a new warehousing facility in Glazebury, Cheshire, is hoped will enable W.Howard Group to be more efficient when fulfilling its customer orders, producing longer runs and having more stock on the ground. This will reduce lead times and ensure the company can supply the right stock, at the right time, whenever a merchant needs it.
