Anthracite grey was the colour of the day for Kestrel when the PVC-UE building products manufacturer exhibited at the C&W Berry Trade Show in Lancashire.
The three-day show, held at the builder’s merchant’s 30-acre site in Leyland, attracted 1,400 people each day, with coloured cladding products proving the biggest pull for Kestrel.
Stephen Malkin, Kestrel’s Business Development Manager for the North West, who manned the brand’s stand, was impressed by visitors’ interest in the latest innovations.
“This is the first year I have exhibited at this particular show and I have to congratulate C&W Berry for managing such a well attended event,” he said.
“It gave us a unique opportunity to engage directly with the public, builders and contractors to hear their thoughts and ideas for product development.”
When it came to products, Stephen said that colours took centre stage.
“We had considerable interest in the Kavex textured cladding range, while the new anthracite grey and black options on the K16 square edge fascia boards were also popular,” he added.
This was the 12th year of the annual show, which took place from September 8th-10th, and the best attended yet according to C & W Berry marketing coordinator Mike Jones.
“The show seems to grow every year, in terms of footfall as it’s a good opportunity for our customers to see the latest products available from our suppliers,” he said.
“While white roofline and fascia products are still big sellers, the interest in textured products like Kavex and coloured foils has undoubtedly increased.”
Set up in 1954, C&W Berry has grown into one of the largest, single site, independent builders’ merchants in the UK. It stocks 30,000 products and serves around 1,500 customers a day at its Leyland site.
