Domestic appliance brand Montpellier UK reports that it is “extremely pleased” to have become an approved supplier to mixed merchant buying group Fortis.
Gary Millar, Head of Marketing for Montpellier, said: “The range of Montpellier domestic appliances fits and complements the product range that Fortis members currently have at their fingertips. Like Fortis, at Montpellier we offer a refreshing and genuinely friendly, approachable and cost effective alternative to the big corporate brands. Our brand ethos is very similar to that of the Fortis membership, offering family values, not only to our customers but also our retail partners. We value the personal touch and the trust of our customers and partners with whom we build long lasting relationships. It is really a perfect partnership.”
The supplier states that not only will Fortis members now have access to the full range of Montpellier products – Integrated, Built-in and Freestanding – but they will also be supported by a national sales team as well as point of sale and marketing support material.
This follows the news that January 2016 sees the Montpellier brand split away for Domestic Appliance Distributors (DAD) and become a stand-alone entity. Tewkesbury-based DAD introduced the brand in 2012 and it now offers a comprehensive range of ‘no nonsense’ products from washing machines, dishwashers and refrigeration right through to range cookers and a comprehensive selection of integrated and built-in appliances.
Gary Millar added: “Montpellier’s brand has been built by offering good margin opportunities, a strong product range always available and great after-sales support. For the consumer we offer products that are beautifully functional backed up with strong guarantee and service packages.”
DAD will continue to carry out distribution of the Montpellier product.
