JELD-WEN
Stormsure Energy+ Windows
Considered its most energy-efficient timber window design to date, JELD-WEN’s Stormsure Energy+ collection is described as a premium alternative to uPVC that combines aesthetics, durability, security and sustainability. Available in a range of design options, the triple glazed windows are said to offer unrivalled energy performance and sound insulation, with laminated glass, espagnolette multi point locking and protecting hinges providing maximum security.
Crafted from FSC-certified engineered softwood, Stormsure Energy+ windows carry a U-Value of 0.8W, energy rating of A+ and STC rating of 40. The timber frame comes with a 40-year anti-rot and fungal guarantee, while the ‘low emissivity’ coated glass units reduce internal condensation and retain more heat within the home.
Made for Trade
Visoglide Plus Sliding Patio Door
Offering a different solution than its popular bi-folding doors, Made for Trade’s new aluminium Visoglide Plus Sliding Patio Door provides the advantages of compact opening and none of the ‘bulk and distortion issues’ said to be associated with uPVC options.
The company has set up a dedicated production facility to meet demand, and the initial trade-oriented offering will be two track doors of multiple configurations up to 6.4m wide and 2.5m high. Stock colours include white, grey, black and dual colour grey on white whilst ‘any RAL colour they like’ is available for cutomers on a longer lead time.

JB Kind
Tigris Cinza
The leading door distributor says the appeal of laminates shows no sign of slowing down, and its dark grey Cinza finish has become so popular that it has been made available in the firm’s popular Tigris design.
The consistent wood effect finish of laminate is said to ensure that each door looks exactly the same, meaning there is no need to worry about matching timber veneers, whilst a clear-glazed partner and FD30 fire door option are also available.
