Jewson’s summer of sport as ‘The Stuff of Legends’ campaign nears conclusion

Professional tradespeople have had the chance to rub shoulders with sports stars and win exclusive experiences at Jewson this summer.

The national builders’ merchant has teamed up with WAA Chosen for the ‘Stuff of Legends’ campaign, rewarding customer loyalty through big names such as ex-professional footballer Paul Merson, former golfer turned trainer Nick Dougherty, and three-time Light Welterweight & Welterweight World champion Ricky Hatton MBE.

The campaign has featured three distinct promotions aligned with major sporting events, with the Euros Spend Promotion aligning with the football earlier in the summer. Those who spend £150 or more ex VAT in branch had a chance to win team kits and a legendary training session with Paul Merson. For higher spenders, a £650 or more ex VAT purchase online or on delivery offered the chance to win a box at Wembley for ten to watch an international football game, hosted by Paul Merson himself.

Jewson’s Open Championship Promotion gave customers spending £100 or more ex VAT on delivery the chance to win spots at Nick Dougherty’s exclusive golf clinic for themselves and four friends. Those spending £600 or more ex VAT on collection orders competed to win a four-ball at a British Open venue, including flights and accommodation, with exclusive tips from Nick Dougherty.

The campaign is nearing its conclusion with Jewson’s Olympic Promotion, where a spend of £100 or more ex VAT on collection orders gives customers the opportunity to win a £500 athletics kit grant for their local school, gifted by Team GB athlete Lewis Williams. For those spending £600 or more ex VAT on delivery, the prize is a Wembley box for ten with food and drink, hosted by boxing legend Ricky Hatton.

Sarah Taylor-Jones, the merchant’s Marketing Director, said: “At Jewson, we believe in going beyond just supplying materials – we’re about building relationships and rewarding the hard work of our customers. ‘Stuff of Legends’ campaign is our way of saying thank you to the tradespeople who’ve stood by us through thick and thin. Whether it’s teeing off at a legendary golf course or cheering from a VIP box at Wembley, we’re giving our loyal customers the chance to create unforgettable memories with some of Britain’s sporting icons.”
