Norbord unveils eye-catching SterlingOSB merchandise

Norbord’s latest SterlingOSB campaign has got off to an exciting start with over 1,000 builders’ merchant branches already signed up to the campaign and an impressive host of POS merchandise to encourage even more engagement.

The national campaign is designed to optimise sales of SterlingOSB through builders’ merchants and give builders and merchants alike the tools they need to maintain a ‘Sterling job’. Norbord’s POS merchandise ranges from magnetic shelf strips detailing the features and benefits of the boards to free pens and sweets – and even animal-themed coffee cups to inject a little bit of fun!

It is produced in seven grades, ranging from the SterlingOSB2, used for packaging, hoarding and general temporary works, through to the premium quality SterlingOSB Sitecoat, used for site-hoarding ready to apply housebuilder graphics. It is described as a genuinely sustainable product, made at Norbord’s Inverness factory from timber grown in sustainably-managed local forests in a process powered by renewable heat energy from Norbord’s own on-site biomass plant.

Produced in a range of thicknesses from 9mm to 22m, the product is one of the principal raw materials for many timber frame systems. SterlingOSB Roofdek, a sanded, tongue-and-grooved is designed specifically for use as a decking board for flat roof construction. It is also used, more commonly in Scotland, as a sarking board in pitched roof construction.
