Determined to open ‘a bathroom showroom like no other’, MP Moran turned to Abacus Manufacturing Group to help create an impressive display at one end of its new Flow Luxury Bathroom showrooms. Created at MP Moran’s head office in Kilburn, north-west London, the dramatic and inspirational, high-end showroom was officially opened by television personality, Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen.
When the idea of a showroom was first considered, MP Moran visited the Abacus head office showroom near Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The two companies then collaborated to design the Abacus display area at Flow, which is home to five complete room sets. The products on display range from baths, basins and WCs to taps, shower enclosures, towel rails and wall cupboards.
The design team at Abacus is well used to creating impressive showroom displays using rich details and materials to striking effect while suggesting the products that will work well together. Once the scheme had been signed off, a team of fitters from Abacus undertook all construction work alongside MP Moran’s tiler. In addition to the main display, Abacus supplied curved seating within a working shower area elsewhere in the showroom that displays 25 of the latest shower heads the market has to offer.
To complement the displays, the Flow showroom offers visitors the chance to put on a 4D virtual reality headset that enables them to ‘walk’ around the displays and interact with moving elements of the room, including opening cupboards, looking inside drawers and stepping into showers.
Malcolm Law, Senior Designer and Flow Manager, comments: “When I was creating Flow, I travelled up and down the country looking for inspiration as I wanted to create something different. When I visited the Abacus showroom I was incredibly impressed by all of the ranges that they can supply. They’re a very good company and the display that has been created within Flow works well.”
