APP Wholesale has announced the acquisition of Ultimate Renewables Supplies, billed as “one of the country’s premier design and supply specialists in heat pumps and renewable energy solutions.”
According to the company, which is part of Lords Group Trading, the deal ensures merchants and installers “will have access to full renewable energy solutions unrivalled in the industry” with the portfolio expansion greatly improving APP Wholesale’s “capacity to promote the adoption of renewable energy sources through knowledgeable sales, customised training, and system design.”
Neil Lake, Managing Director of APP Wholesale, commented: “We are thrilled to provide a complete solution that addresses the evolving needs of merchants and installers in the renewable energy sector. The combined expertise and established partnerships of Ultimate Renewable Supplies and APP Wholesale are intended to create a “one-stop destination for renewable energy options (that will) empower customers throughout this crucial industry shift” as specialised turnkey design and supply solutions for heat pumps, MVHR, solar PV and battery storage, underfloor heating (UFH), and the MCS Umbrella Scheme will be made available to customers.
To guarantee service and expertise continuity, all members of Ultimate Renewables Supplies’ management team, including Sales Director Simon Wardle and Operations Director John McCarthy, will stay on board. Simon commented: “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far in a very short space of time. Our rapid expansion will continue to progress because of this acquisition.

Ultimate Renewables Supplies will remain autonomous within the structure of APP Wholesale, which encompasses APP Plumbing and Heating and Mr Central Heating. However, described as “a major turning point in APP’s expansion plan,” this acquisition broadens the company’s offering beyond
conventional heating systems to include an extensive range of renewable energy options.
