Featuring high and low modulus formulations, the new Bostik Pro Sealants range is described as offering technologically advanced performance and is the company’s first full range of professional sealants to be made available in post-consumer recycled (PCR) cartridges, reducing the net effect of plastic on the environment.
PCR material is made from consumer household plastic waste, meaning it uses less energy during production, reduces landfill and contributes to a more circular economy.
Suitable for use across all areas of the building envelope, the Bostik Pro Sealants range is segmented into six core application types: sanitary, multipurpose, glazing & frame, construction & façade, decoration & paint, and fire protect. The products are designed to be mould resistant, have minimal shrinkage, and offer excellent adhesion and gunnability, with easy tooling to provide a professional finish. They are also free from harmful solvents and phthalates.
The range has been developed to meet a variety of specifications and accreditations required by the construction industry. For example, Bostik Pro Sealants meet full UKCA and CE accreditation, and feature certifications such as EMICODE EC1 for indoor air quality, ISEGA for use in contact with food and EN 13501-1, EN 1634-3 and EN1366-4 for fire testing and classification.
The launch of the range is being supported by “unrivalled brand investment”, including sponsorship of the talkSPORT sports headlines, Google ad campaigns, trade press advertising, product videos and enriched online content.
High impact point-of-sale materials are also available to drive sales in branch, with on fixture and off fixture options to suit distribution partners’ needs. In addition, a nationwide roadshow will support the launch, with live demonstrations and branch staff training delivered by technical experts from the Bostik Academy.
