It has been confirmed that, effective as of 1st October 2018, BPT Birchwood Price Tools has been sold by Travis Perkins plc to Toolstream Limited, part of Group Silverline Ltd.
A statement on the BPT website reads as follows:
“We’d like to reassure all of our customers, suppliers and other partners, that nothing materially will change in the way we operate. We will continue to operate as a stand alone business, out of our existing Nottingham offices and warehouse in Warrington, with the same sales and distribution approach that we have today. Our trading terms and conditions will remain the same, as will our teams, service and brands proposition.
“In the short term our focus will be on continuing to provide the excellent service, market-leading brands and products, and day-to-day support that our customers have come to expect from BPT to help them to grow their business.
“We will continue to invest in and maintain the strong market position and quality of each of our brands; Scruffs workwear & safety footwear, Defender lighting & power distribution, Van Vault secure storage solutions, and Rhino heating & cooling products.
“The sale is great news for BPT; being part of Group Silverline Ltd will bring numerous benefits which will support our future growth.
“Thanks to all our customers, suppliers and partners for their continued support of BPT as we enter an exciting new phase for our Company and teams.”
