City Plumbing, part of the Plumbing and Heating Division of Travis Perkins, has scooped the Fleet Van Operator of The Year award at the 2019 Motor Transport Awards, held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The award ceremony was hosted by TV presenter Claudia Winkleman and the award was given to the City Plumbing Team by comedian Omid Djalili.
City Plumbing, with 400 employees based in Northampton, beat competition from the likes of Ocado and Scottish Water to win the award which celebrates organisations that are achieving outstanding standards of performance in productivity and efficiency, on time quality deliveries and who promote safe driving through effective training and apprenticeship schemes.

The award was given to Richard Horton, Head of Fleet at City Plumbing. He stated: “It is an honour to accept this award on behalf of City Plumbing.
