Countdown to BMA Bathrooms & Kitchens Business Conference

Countdown to BMA Bathrooms & Kitchens Business Conference

The Bathroom Manufacturers Association, organisers of this year’s Bathroom and Kitchen Business Conference, is urging the industry not to miss out on the “most significant networking, educational and business event in the sector”.

Taking place on 12-13 October, 2015 at  Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, the organisers hope to beat the levels of success enjoyed by last year’s event which saw nearly 250 delegates attend. “We have analysed the great feedback received for last year’s Conference,” said Yvonne Orgill, CEO at the BMA and Leader of the organising team.

“Delegates love the facilities at Heythrop Park so we are going back again this year. And the dates suit everybody, being well away from the holiday season. Nitty Gritty is firmly fixed to the agenda this year. We are planning a little less marketing fluff but more business inspiration and motivation presented by top business speakers from outside our industry.”

The latest additions to the speaking line-up include:

Alan Wallace, head of Apple Green Homes, the innovative builder based in Glasgow. Alan will bring his thoughts about the future of homes in the UK and will explore the sustainable design and construction of homes which are ‘better, bigger and warmer.’

The future of retailing and the trends in consumer habits will be discussed by Professor Joshua Bamfield, Director of the Centre for Retail Research and acknowledged expert on trends in retail in the UK.

Jonty Bloom is the well-known and well-respected broadcaster and business correspondent, heard regularly on the radio. He will be speaking about Britain’s business relationship with Europe, particularly in the light of the UK government’s renegotiations. Bathroom and Kitchens will be affected no matter what happens in the future and Jonty will have much to say of relevance to our industry.

Finally, the highly recommended former head of Digital Marketing for Microsoft, Allister Frost, will be speaking about what the digital world means for business – and it won’t be all about Facebook or Twitter.

“We are delighted with our line-up for this year’s conference,” added Yvonne Orgill. “Our list is particularly strong this year. We have class-leading speakers and very well-known names in the mix. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are looking beyond our industry for inspiration and this year’s conference is aimed at joining up the dots – setting out the importance of design, innovation, sustainability, business in Europe, retailing and of course the industry conference itself. It’s set to be the best yet!”

Award winning newsreader, journalist and broadcaster, Michael Buerk, will present then Key Note speech.
