Crown Paints launches new resources for professional painters and decorators

Crown Paints has recently revealed a “significant investment to revolutionise its colour services” and provide trade professionals with advanced tools and resources.

This includes the introduction of the Colour Edit, a new collection purposely curated colour collection to support painters and decorators guide customers in making more informed colour choices. Developed by Crown’s team of colour experts, the Colour Edit features 160 versatile shades selected using advanced trend forecasting and 3D colour mapping.

The Colour Edit cards feature real paint chips and organise the collection into hand-picked colour families, blending existing and bespoke shades from warm neutrals to bold, saturated tones, serving as a comprehensive toolkit for creating cohesive designs for every customer’s style and needs. Said to be “created with practicality in mind,” this has been “rigorously tested across a variety of commercial and residential settings” and is available across Crown’s tintable paint range.

The collection will be available through Crown’s new in-store colour walls, which are now available in in 128 Crown Decorating Centres in addition to merchants throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. The colour walls feature a “unique lighting experience,” allowing customers to view the supplier’s Real Paint swatches under different lighting conditions as well as a variety of finish chips to help aid colour and product selection.

The innovative new colour wall design saw the business awarded Gold at this year’s POPAI Awards, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to providing best-in-class colour services for its customers. To further support the launch, the company has also made a significant investment in its tinting technology and machinery, ensuring faster more accurate mixing.

Kathryn Lloyd, Colour Specialist at Crown Paints said: “At Crown, we recognise the endless possibilities of colour, but we also know the complexities involved in making the right choice. Our new colour services are intended to be the first port of call for painters and decorators, providing reliable resources that can help them simplify the colour decision process for their customers.

“From our new in-store colour walls and tinting machines to our Colour Edit card, we’re giving professionals easily accessible tools to advise their clients on colour with confidence.”
