Final details have been confirmed by the FLTA for the 15th annual National Forklift Safety Convention, which will take place on 3 October 2018 at the Heart of England Events and Conference Centre, Coventry.
Delegates at this year’s event will learn how to develop a safer culture, understand parallels between safety and combat, and hear a shocking, real-life account from a fork lift accident survivor.
The programme will set out a day of real-life case studies, motivational speakers and peer-to-peer networking and will also include three guest speakers.
Speakers at the 2018 event include:
- Dr Tim Marsh – ‘Behavioural Approach’
Tim is considered a world authority on behavioural safety, safety leadership and organisational culture.
- Stewart Hill FCMI – ‘Warehouse or Warzone’
Ex-Army Officer, artist and leadership expert Stewart will share a candid discussion as he explores the parallels between warehouse and warzone.
- Lisa Ramos – ‘Interviewed by Rebecca Morden’
Lisa will be discussing the severe, life-changing consequences negligence can cause, as well as lessons learnt from her recent lift truck tours
Attendees will also have the chance to explore two safe site case studies, including a look at builders’ merchants Travis Perkins.
FLTA Chief Executive, Peter Harvey MBE, said: “It’s an honour to have the likes of Tim Marsh, Stewart Hill and, of course, Lisa Ramos join us for our 15th Safety Convention. I’d also like to thank our sponsor and media partner for helping make this happen.”
This year’s event will also feature an expanded forklift safety exhibition which will showcase lifesaving products and services.
