Galleon Fixings, the wholly-owned fixings division of the Dormole Group including ForgeFix and Harrison & Clough, has announced the appointment of Paul Swift as Managing Director whilst Paul Simpson and Rebecca Fortescue-Halliwell have also been named as Sales Director and Marketing Director respectively.
The trio of industry leaders have worked together closely at ForgeFix, delivering several key initiatives which have generated significant success for the company. As MD of ForgeFix, Paul Swift already sat on the Galleon Fixings Board, but he will now oversee the whole group as Managing Director, sitting alongside Paul Simpson and Rebecca, together with existing Board Directors Mark Revak, Mark Dorrington, Tony Armitt and Claire Mulvey at Galleon Fixings, as the Board works together to help the Group meet its ambitious targets and objectives.
The newly formed Board of the Galleon Fixings division is described as bringing together unrivalled, market-leading expertise and experience, and strengthens the company’s structure as it positions itself for significant future growth and development.
The appointments follow the retirement of outgoing Galleon Fixings CEO Michael Brown, and have been made to reflect the Galleon Fixings division’s ambitious growth strategy.
Paul Swift, who has been MD at ForgeFix since February 2022, is tasked with completing the company’s move to new state of the art facilities at Bessemer Park, Sheffield. He will also assume responsibilities for continuing to grow the fixings and fasteners division by providing first class service, customer support, best in class marketing initiatives and continued product development.
He will continue in his role as ForgeFix MD, and Paul Simpson (Head of Sales, ForgeFix) and Rebecca Fortescue-Halliwell (Head of Marketing and Digital Strategy, ForgeFix) also maintain their current responsibilities, so there will be no operational changes at ForgeFix as a result of this restructure.
Commenting on the moves, Wayne Flory, Chief Executive Officer at the Dormole Group, explained: “Paul’s expertise and leadership have been transformative for ForgeFix and more widely for our whole fixings and fasteners division. This promotion is an exciting next step as we look forward to the division’s continued growth as we execute the exciting initiatives we have planned.”
“I’d also like to extend a special thank-you to Michael Brown who has led the business successfully for more than 15 years.”
Paul Swift commented: “I’m excited by this new role and am looking forward to delivering our strategy for ambitious growth. Being part of the wider Dormole Group puts us in a privileged position, and we are keen to leverage this to ensure the fixings and fasteners division continues to deliver growth, while also engaging with customers and creating exciting opportunities for our people.
“The strength of our Board is a real sign of intent and I am confident that under my leadership we will have a significant, positive impact on the industry.”
