Gibbs & Dandy has announced that it has made two new senior management appointments, which include a Managing Director role.
Andy Boileau has been appointed as Gibbs & Dandy Managing Director and will take over the running of Gibbs & Dandy and associated brands, including Benchmark, Matthew Charlton, Roger W Jones, Chadwicks and Blackpool Power Tools.
He will report directly to Local Merchant Group (LMG) Managing Director, Neil Lawrence, who will remain in his key strategic role for the group.
Andy will have day-to-day operational responsibility for Gibbs & Dandy, with oversight from Neil, who will also continue with further additional responsibilities within LMG.
Most recently Andy launched, led, and evolved the Priority brand and he will continue to manage this business in conjunction with his new role.
Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “I am very pleased to be appointed to the role of Managing Director at Gibbs & Dandy.
“It comes at a positive and exciting time for the company, with new initiatives launched such as the Entrepreneurship Foundation, and an award-winning 2018 which saw Gibbs & Dandy secure the National Builders’ Merchant of the Year accolade at the Builder’s Merchants Excellence Awards.
“I look forward to helping Gibbs & Dandy continue to move forward as a business and build upon its reputation as a company with a proud history built on strong local relationships.”
John O’Sullivan has also joined the company as Local Merchant Group Sales Director and will also have responsibility for the Sales Director role at Gibbs & Dandy.
John has been in building construction since 2006 and has previously worked across a number of brands within Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD). He has years of experience in the industry, having joined Jewson in 1997, initially as a National Account Manager, before rising through the ranks to the role of Sector Director. He moved to CTD as Sales Director in 2012 and then joined Jewson as Sales and Marketing Director in 2017.
