Having embarked on a targeted strategy of increasing its presence in the builders’ merchant sector last year, premium topsoil products manufacturer Hallstone has recently celebrated the sale of its 500,000th bulk bag.
The milestone sale comes hot off the back of Hallstone’s best-ever sales year, with the business up more than 50% year-on-year from 2022 to 2023. Indeed, the company says that 2023 saw the brand, part of the Rolawn group, “firmly establish its position as a supplier of choice for the UK’s leading national and independent builders’ merchants” and it was one of those merchants, Huws Gray, that received the 500,000th bag at its Grantham branch.
To celebrate the achievement and to mark Huws Gray Grantham being the lucky recipient, Jonathan Hill, Sales & Marketing Director for the Rolawn Group presented them with a special point of sale package and vouchers for all staff at the branch to share in a celebratory meal.
Branch Manager Robin Hollingworth thanked Hallstone by saying: “We’re delighted to be celebrating with Hallstone, it’s a pleasure working with the team and we really appreciate this gesture. Their collaborative approach makes them a go-to supplier and that seems to be reflected in their sales and this latest achievement.”
