HiKOKI Power Tools has launched its 12V Peak Slide cordless tool series, featuring a new range of powerful, slimline batteries.
The new 12V range is said to be ideal for professional users who need to work in confined spaces, over long periods of time, or where the job demands more from a power tool other than just brute force. However, the 12V Combi reportedly still packs a serious punch with 38Nm of torque.
The slimline slide 12V battery range powers the DS12DD brushless cordless driver drill, the DV12DD brushless cordless impact driver drill and the WH12DD brushless cordless impact driver. The compact batteries are said to make the tools lightweight and easy to handle, with none weighing any more than 1.2kg.
Battery models BSL1225M and BSL1240M have a capacity of 2.5Ah and 4Ah respectively with minimal charging times of 37 and 60 minutes only. The BSL1225M has a height of 42mm and weighs 220g while the BSL1240M stands at 45mm high and weighs 330g. The BSL1225M and BSL1240M both come with a battery level indicator.
HiKOKI has also launched a new charger for the 12V battery series. Compact and lightweight, the UC125L charger offers a rapid charge – 37 minutes for the 2.5Ah battery and 60 minutes for the 4.0Ah battery.
Simon Miller, Marketing Director for HiKOKI Power Tools UK, commented: “The demand for cordless power tools is growing all the time. Our research shows that professional users are looking to get the job done anywhere and powerful, compact cordless tools like these give them the power and flexibility to do this.”
