Customers at Howarth Timber and Building Supplies branches around the UK can purchase market-leading home lifts after the timber company signed an agreement with the award-winning lift manufacturer Aritco.
The Aritco Home Lift 4000 and 6000 models will be available at Howarth Timber’s 29 UK branches, opening up the growing home lift market to a new customer base.
The UK population is older than it has ever been, with almost 18% of the population aged 85 or over, and home lifts are an increasingly popular investment amongst people who wish to stay in their homes into old age.
Developed for increased accessibility in the home, the Aritco 6000 comes in two different sizes and offers buyers the option to choose glass walls and a range of colours. The Aritco 4000 is the world’s smallest home lift, is available in three different sizes and comes in several different colourways and flooring styles.
Statistics show that the value of a house increases when a home lift is installed and Duncan Barker, group buyer at Howarth Timber and Building Supplies, said: “The home lift market is growing at 34% cent each year, which makes this a huge opportunity for Howarth and a huge opportunity for our customers.”
David Schill, PR and Marketing Director at Aritco, said: “We are delighted to partner with Howarth Timber & Building Supplies to sell our lifts in the UK.
“The company has a long and proud history, dating back 175 years, and we feel strongly that Aritco home lifts are a great fit as part of Howarth’s solid, expansive product offering.
“All our lifts are made in Sweden and no pit or shaft is required in the ground floor beneath the lift. Contrary to what many people believe, a home lift doesn’t cost more than a kitchen or bathroom renovation.”
