Imperial Bricks has partnered with Bebbington to sell its masonry colour correction products and offer an on-site brick tinting service. The complementary product will be sold in builders’ merchants nationwide.
Bebbington, established in 1968, is a 3rd generation masonry colour correction expert, offering a remedial solution for the brick industry. A combination of colourfast inorganic metallic oxides is blended with either potassium silicate or vinyl acetate to form colours designed for weathering, colour correction or, in bespoke applications, lightening of brickwork.
Bebbington tinting is a permanent solution that does not seal the face of the brickwork – crucial in avoiding frost damage. The products have been used to correct brickwork on numerous television shows, including DIY SOS and Grand Designs.
Jason Hughes, Managing Director of Imperial Bricks says: “Bebbington’s brick tinting is the perfect solution to blend newer bricks and mortar with original brickwork when a suitable match isn’t available. It’s a fantastic ‘add-on’ product that works perfectly with our range of bricks for renovation and refurbishment projects. We’re now combining our expertise to offer tinting, on-site brick matching – a complete solution to help merchants sell more.”
Mark Bebbington, Managing Director of Bebbington adds: “The agreement with Imperial will extend our reach across the UK and increase sales throughout the builders’ merchant network. Because our products were designed specifically with bricks in mind, this partnership enhances both Imperial’s and Bebbington’s offering to the end user.”
Simon Morley, Business Development Manager at Bebbington also said: “Our aim is to raise general public awareness of brick tinting, the Bebbington brand and ultimately increase retail sales. This agreement with Imperial will go an enormous way to helping us achieve this ambition.”
