At the recent Great British Fleet Awards 2020 ceremony held at the Novotel in West London, Isuzu Truck UK scooped one of the top prizes when its Grafter 3.5 tonne truck range won the title of ‘Light Truck of the Year’, in the Van Awards section of the ceremony.
In giving the award to the Grafter, the Award judges commented that “Isuzu’s forward control light truck continues to grow in popularity. The Grafter provides impressive payload, with compact overall dimensions, making it ideal for urban use. With a downsized 1.9L engine and a choice of manual or semi-automatic transmission, operating costs are also kept low.”
Held as part of the 2020 Great British Fleet event, this award ceremony is in its second year and recognises those at the top of the game in the fleet vehicle sector.
All the awards on the evening were judged by an expert panel of Fleet World Group editors, covering over 35 different categories, recognising innovative new products and services, which cut costs, streamline operations and contribute to a safer, more fuel-efficient fleet.
Collecting the ‘Light Truck of the Year’ award on behalf of Isuzu Truck UK was National Fleet Sales Manager Lee Tansley, who commented, “Since we launched the new light weight Grafter range in 2017 it has gone from strength to strength, breaking all records in terms of sales and on-the-road performance. With market leading reliability and payload, the Isuzu Grafter is now the ‘go to’ truck at 3.5 tonne. Winning this award is independent recognition of the outstanding performance of the Grafter over the past few years.”
With a choice of standard cab colours of either white or flint grey, the 3.5 tonne Isuzu Grafter 4 x 2 chassis cab rigids are available in both single and twin rear wheel configurations and are Euro 6 compliant.
Both single rear wheel and twin rear wheel Grafter Greens are part of the Isuzu Truck Driveaway pre-bodied truck programme, with the ready availability of both tipper and dropside models providing industry leading payload carrying capacity.
