James Burrell Builders Merchants has announced the refurbishment of its Bishop Auckland branch which is set to be complete in early spring 2020.
The refurbishment of the Bishop Auckland branch follows an influx of investment for the family-owned merchant, with a £250k renovation of its Blyth branch and a £2m investment in the recently opened 10th branch in Rotherham.
The company is also expanding the existing office and trade counter space and report that the customer facilities will be greatly improved. The planned renovation is said to allow the branch to increase its current stock range in order to provide a better service to the trade customers in the local area.
The work on the branch is set to begin in mid-November and business will run as usual throughout the whole process. Kevin Dawson, Regional Sales Manager, stated: “This is such an exciting time for us at James Burrell; we are delighted to be expanding and improving our trade counter and office space at our Bishop Auckland branch. The refurbishment will allow us to showcase our increased stock range more efficiently, which will massively improve the customer experience. Please keep an eye on our social media and website for regular updates.”
According to the company, James Burrell is continuously investing in the development of the company and place safety and environmental protection at the forefront of their business aims. This is highlighted by achieving bronze accreditation in FORS, securing Timber Chain of Custody certification at all 10 branches and most recently passing an Acclaim Accreditation Health and Safety Assessment which specialises in the award of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certification.
