JELD-WEN and Pilkington strengthen collective offering

Through what is described as a “unique agreement”, Pilkington and JELD-WEN have worked to strengthen the energy-efficient and environmentally-sound timber window offering for merchants, leading to the sale of more than a quarter of a million double and triple glazed insulation glass units (IGUs).

The relationship has seen JELD-WEN’s range of UK manufactured environmentally-friendly timber windows, patios and exterior doorsets, fitted with Pilkington energiKare™ glass. This not only supports JELD-WEN’s stated commitment to offering high quality, energy efficient glazing options, but allows merchants to give customers an even wider choice of high-quality solutions.

Tony Pell, Senior Product Manager for frames at JELD-WEN, said: “As a leading manufacturer in the industry, we take our responsibility seriously and are constantly seeking to improve the benefits to our customers by offering them the best possible products. Our closely aligned relationship with a recognised and quality brand such as Pilkington allows us to provide added value across our windows and doors offer, with a number of additional selling benefits for merchants and their customers. The combination of our durable factory-finished timber window frames and the Pilkington energiKare™ glazing, means we can offer improved thermal efficiency alongside acoustic and security benefits.”
