Demonstrating their commitment to delivering “outstanding fleet standards”, specialist distributors Jewson Civils Frazer and Minster have been awarded FORS Gold accreditation for the logistics operation at their dual-branded Croydon branch.
Described as recognising exemplary levels of compliance in safety, fuel efficiency and environmental protection, Gold is the highest accreditation awarded by FORS (the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme), and is presented only to “exceptional fleet operations that have met exacting targets”.
Chloe Watson, Regional Logistics Manager for Jewson Civils Frazer and Minster, said: “We are pleased that the fleet operations at Jewson Civils Frazer and Minster Croydon have achieved FORS Gold status. We work hard to manage our work related road risk (WRRR) and it is great that our first-class standards in this area have been recognised.
“We take our responsibility to other road users and the environment very seriously and have made significant investments to ensure that our vehicles and drivers maintain the highest safety and environmental standards possible.”
Part of the Saint-Gobain Group and with branches throughout England, Wales and Scotland, Jewson Civils Frazer is a leading provider of specialist civils, infrastructure and utilities products and solutions whilst sister company Minster is a specialist distributor of insulation, dry lining, ceilings, fire protection, façade, roofing and ceilings solutions.
Ricky Coakley, National Supply Chain & Operations Director, said: “Safety and compliance are at the core of our business values and we are committed to achieving the highest standards in this area. Achieving FORS Gold requires commitment from all areas of the business and we are pleased that the hard work of our teams in Croydon has been recognised.
“Although the vast majority of our branches have already achieved Bronze or Silver status, Croydon is the first of our branches to achieve the Gold accreditation and we are focussing on replicating this achievement across our network.”
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
