Jewson has invested more than £800K into improving its branch in Bury St Edmunds, Cratfield Road, Morton Hall Industrial Estate.
The builders’ merchant has changed the layout as well as enhanced its product offering in the 32,000sqm building. The branch will now feature a dedicated kitchen and bathroom showroom, complete with a selection of modern and traditional product ranges and full-working demonstration models.
With the new layout, Jewson has also grown its civils and tool hire offering, adding a storage compound for its range of equipment.
The addition of Jewson-sister brand Graham, which specialises in plumbing, heating and bathroom supplies, is hoped will turn the branch into a one-stop-shop for local tradespeople. The investment has also seen staff numbers across both Jewson and Graham branches rise to 28 people.
Branch Manager, Kirk Broom, commented: “We’ve been serving customers in Bury St Edmunds for 34 years – keeping them stocked up with everything from bricks to tools day in day out. As the only supplier of civils in the area, it’s essential that we have a stock of products readily available.
“Our newly-designed branch will help to further improve our service and make sure we have all the products our customers need, whether they choose to click and collect or come to see us in branch.”
