Marley appoints new Managing Director

Marley has confirmed the appointment of Stuart Nicholson as its new Managing Director.

With more than three decades of experience in the construction industry, Stuart has spent 15 years with the leading roof systems manufacturer, most recently in the role of Roof Systems Director. At a time of change and challenge for the construction sector – with legislation amendments such as the imminent Future Homes Standard promoting the creation of energy efficient, low carbon dwellings to support the journey to net zero – Stuart will “spearhead Marley’s response, through ongoing product innovation, industry leadership and expert-led support for those working in the sector.”

Furthermore, the company asserts that the growing demand for solar PV installation, from both consumers and policy makers, means its integrated roof system – including a comprehensive renewable technology package – “will be at the forefront of the solutions the industry requires.”

Stuart commented: “At Marley, our people are the driving force behind everything we do. As I step into the MD role, it’s all about continuity – building on our success, continuing to inspire innovation and strengthen our market leading position. We will continue to build on the talent, skills and ingenuity of all our employees, which in turn will bolster the proven performance of our extensive product portfolio for our customers.

“At the same time, we will also continue to help upskill the wider roofing industry, so customers can stay ahead of the changing construction landscape and capitalise on the business opportunities that offers. A key part of this will be investing in our quality-led training resources, which will extend the reach of courses, such as our solar PV installation course for roofing contractors. This will equip contractors will the skills needed to feel confident about the future.”
