MKM Building Supplies has further cemented its position as the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant with the opening of its 70th branch in Grantham.
The brand new, state-of-the-art branch is said to be situated in a prime location in the Lincolnshire town – on Trent Road – and 17 jobs have been created at the 1.88acre site. A coprehensive offer of ‘building essentials’ will be available whilst the branch also offers a range of services including brick matching, take off service and an extensive outdoor landscaping display in addition to a kitchen and bathroom showroom with free 3D design and consultation services.
The opening of the milestone 70th branch is part of MKM’s continuing expansion plans and kicks off the company’s 25th anniversary year.
MKM Grantham is headed up by Branch Director, James Truman. James has a wealth of experience having started in the building industry at the age of 18 and managed his first branch aged 22. Adding to his industry expertise, James completed a Post Graduate diploma in multi-site management and strategy and has managed several merchants in the midlands prior to the new launch.
